Our organic Chamomile flowers are harvested at the height of quality & freshness. Matricaria chamomilla which is a well-known blossom in the herbal community has long been known for its gentle actions & soothing scent. German chamomile is usually prepared as a infusion of chamomile tea, and the flowers are widely used in skin care recipes as well as aiding in the relief of Pink eye and other eye disorders.

Chamomile creates a sense of relaxation and often promotes digestive health*.

Chamomile is a soft & kind herb known throughout most of the known world & has been used for thousands of years. It is more often than not drank as a tea but can also be used for various skin ailments & applied externally to help with internal issues. Chamomile is calming to the skin and tends to be found in lotions and hair products. It is known in trade as Matricaria recutita and by its synonym Matricaria chamomilla. Many of it's most common names are German chamomile, Hungarian chamomile, mayweed & sweet false chamomile.

As being a part of the Asteraceae family, these sensual herbaceous plants have white daisy like flowers and a scent similar to that of apples or pineapple.

Chamomile has been employed extensively in many countries as a multi-faceted herb with a main use in digestive health. Common concoctions were used as teas, for baths, gargles, inhalations, & compresses. Germany which has been using herbs for generations consider this herb as alles zutraut or in english as being 'capable of anything.'

Native American Indians have long been using Chamomile & it's related species since their introduction to the land, often harnessing the entire plant. The Aleut tribe often drank teas to remedy gas, and they also considered the plant a cure-all.

Cosmetically, chamomile can be used to bring out highlights and lightening blonde hair. Topically, this herb is softening and soothing to the skin. It can also been used as a perfume when soaked in alcohol or oils such as Coconut or Almond Oil.

The genus name Matricaria comes from the Latin word matrix meaning 'womb' hinting at its superb effects for women.
