Chamomile is a kind herb understood & used throughout most of the known world. For thousands of years, chamomile has been used mainly as a tea by all ages for its gentle mechanisms in regards to calming the spirit and supporting the consistent digestive health. Often times the plant goes by several diffrent names including German chamomile, Hungarian chamomile, & True chamomile.

While being a part of the Asteraceae family, Chamomile has long protruding, feather like leaves and tiny, white, flowers with an intense fragrance similar to that of a bunch of fresh apples. In fact it turns out that the translation of chamomile from the Greek language means “ground apple”. 

Like many others for thousands of years, chamomile has been harnessed universally for its astounding health-conscious aspects. In common European herbalism, chamomile was taken as a tonic herb which would support digestive health.

It's also known that Native Americans would also use Chamomile as one of the key mainstays to their health in regards to minor digestive issues and also as a tonic. Most people find that the use of Chamomile generally promotes relaxation and supports digestive health.

Hungarian chamomile is most often used as an infusion to make tea. The flowers are also widely used & are well known for their positive properties in regards to hair & scalp health. Chamomile is an emollient & is most often used in Bath & Beauty products, such as lotion and balms. Chamomile flowers have also been utilized as an aide in combatting pink eye. By steeping chamomile in hot water, letting it return to room temperature it may be applied around the eye or if strained thoroughly may be used in the eye itself.  

Our chamomile extract is made in small batches from freshly dried, organic chamomile flowers. Our extract is gentle in flavor with a slight fruity/ floral taste. Often times Chamomile is taken directly by mouth or mixed with water, juice or sparkling water. This kind herb is used often, in many diffrent types of preparations including botanical formulations and can be mixed with other extracts such as fennel extract, lemon balm extract, and oats extract.
